The majority rule is that asking for a sign as guidance is a breath of fresh air most times. Why? Well, because it shifts the burden off onto the spirit world instead of it sitting on our shoulders. Let’s be honest here. Asking them to make the decision somewhat relieves us from making a possible bad decision, right? I don’t know about you, but I have made enough of them on my own. If there is help, I’m taking it!
Of course, asking for a sign works in your favor when you are impartial to whatever the outcome. Frustration settles in when you’re asking for a specific sign towards the answer you secretly favor but then not getting it!
I think my biggest takeaway working with angels and signs is trusting that whatever the outcome, it is for the best. Even if you don’t realize it in the moment. I have personal stories as well as listened to others of amazing outcomes because they listened. I have also heard and personally experienced the opposite affliction of ‘thinking I know better’. Those are, as the spirit world calls them, teachable moments.
Being in a questioning mood today, I decided to ask for guidance of something to come at the end of the year I needed to make a decision on. When I asked, I felt into the positive and negatives of each direction I could be presented with. Honestly one direction just, shall we say, put a distinctive bounce in my step! So, you know which answer I was rooting for!
I looked everywhere for the Ferris Wheel & Pink bunny signs I assigned for the yes and no answers despite it being two days before the assigned deadline. True to my overachieving spirit teams’ efforts, I saw the answer I thought was for the direction I was secretly hoping for! Was it? NO! Talk about feeling suddenly disappointed! Now mind you, the answer I received was in no way bad at all. The other choice was, I thought, better.
Of course, my head was swimming with un-ending questions. Being the Question Queen that I can be, I was giving myself a headache! I even made a mental note to ask again with different signs, just in case they changed their mind after my incessant mental pleadings or maybe made an itsy-bitsy mistake.
The way I see it, there’s two ways to think of this. One, don’t ask them for a sign if you’re not going to listen to the answer. Especially when you’re asking that the answer be for your highest and best!
Secondly though, it is hard to understand the answer given at times when everything looks amazing through rose-colored glasses at the moment. Have I done this? Absolutely! I have often stressed that I cannot see or know what the future holds. However, my human side questions how it could not be the answer I desire if everything currently around me is rainbows, butterflies, and unicorns.
Alas, having learned far too many lessons for not respecting the answer they gave me, I must stick with, and respect the answer that they have given me. Except today, I decided to do some recon for myself to check up on them on the internet. Was the answer they gave me, correct? *SIGH* Yes. The score is yet again, heavily in their favor; SPIRIT: 100 – LISA: 0.
Shocking, I know! (Go ahead and laugh!)
Spirit then decided to remind me of a question that I asked two weeks prior. Intuitively, I trusted the answer they gave me. Within five days, the reason for the answer they gave me was revealed and I was insanely grateful for (and trusting) their answer. Their answer revealed they were indeed looking out for my best interest! Potential crisis averted!
There is no doubt that my question today and the reason why will be revealed in the future. Despite not knowing all the answers and doing some of my own checking, I am going to trust my angels and spirit team. They know what is best for now and at the end of the year for me.
I know I have free will and can choose to make other choices. I most certainly trust myself ten-fold to do so, unless nudged otherwise. Today I was nudged to ask for their help instead of trying to do it alone and trust their answer. I did.
So, this is just your friendly reminder that if you ask spirit for an answer, and you get the sign- whatever it is, don’t look a gift horse in the mouth and trust that there is a reason. We may not always be graced with an exact understanding at that exact moment, but they know what is going on behind the scenes and heard conversations we didn’t.
Trust me, trust THEM!
